Fading Boundaries

As I was strolling in Seattle Center that is home to the iconic Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, and Chihuly Garden and Glass among others, my eyes fell on a series of threads around a nondescript tree. Thoughts ran into my mind that reminded me of the following quotes.

“There is a boundary to men’s passions when they act from feelings; but none when they are under the influence of imagination.” – Edmund Burke

“You see, every creature alive on the earth today represents an unbroken line of life that stretches back to the first primitive organism to appear on this planet; and that is about three billion years.” – George Wald

“So long as the universe had a beginning, we could suppose it had a creator. But if the universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither beginning nor end: it would simply be. What place, then, for a creator?” – Stephen Hawking
